Bought their 42" Regza last year for around $1,100. Just bought this newer (updated) version on sale for $798 locally (American TV). Great value. Excellent all around. 720p? Have seen their 1080p Regza and can't tell the difference. Connections were not a concern for me as it is to be used JUST with HD satellite. Doubtless the switch to all 1080p has affected the marketplace and the 720's are being dumped. My old eyes will never know the difference on a 42 inch set.
