Are you tired of the poor service of cable companies? I was and decided to give Dish Network satellite TV a try. I picked Dish Network because they offer more channels for less money than cable or DirecTV, and I am on a budget. They had everything I wanted for my satellite TV system: high quality receivers, a customizable channel package that fit my needs, excellent rates, HD, a digital video recorder, and a special offer that gave the first 3 months of service free.
Getting the Satellite TV Installed
I ordered my Dish Network, and they were able to come to my home the very next morning to install the satellite TV. Installation was free of charge and included 4 free receiver boxes that would provide service in 4 rooms. They are leased and must be returned later. They also gave me a free HD DVR for my family room high definition TV. I love the DVR! I never realized how handy it is to record my shows and watch them at my convenience. It takes much less time to watch them because I can fast forward through the commercials.
My Programming Package
For my satellite TV, I chose to get the Top 100 package with the top 100 channels, local channel package, and HD package. This runs me about $47.99/month + taxes. This package is great for me and I can always find something to watch on satellite TV. They also offer sports, Latino, and international packages for those that are interested.
Dish Network Compared to DirecTV
The other popular satellite TV supplier is DirecTV. I had DirecTV a few years back and researched their current offers before getting Dish Network. They are better if you like sports packages, but Dish Network is better for international packages. Since I don't like either, I went with the cheaper one which was Dish Network. I couldn't tell the sound picture and quality apart, they were both excellent. I do remember the DirecTV installer took about 2 hours longer than Dish Network as he was very slow and made me late to an appointment.
Stop wasting time looking for satellite TV - Dish Network was rated #1 in customer satisfaction for a reason!
